Sparring is an essential part of Krav Maga and martial arts training in general. While drills and technique work are important, nothing replaces the experience of applying techniques under pressure against a resisting opponent.
In a real-world self-defence scenario, your attacker won’t stand still and allow you to execute your perfect technique. They’ll fight back, they’ll move unpredictably, and they’ll test your limits. Sparring helps to bridge the gap between training and reality, ensuring that your skills hold up under realistic conditions.
